The animated film, “Beauty and the Beast,” was released in 1991 and has garnered more than $140 million dollars revenue in the US box office alone. This phenomenal hit movie has been one of the greatest works of Walt Disney Pictures. They have spent three and a half years creating the film and have incorporated special 3D effects in some parts of the movie.

A prince who has a very bad temper and an uncaring soul has been turned into a “Beast” by a disguised Enchantress because he refused to provide her with shelter during the night of the storm. Together with his transformation, all of his castle servants have been turned into enchanted objects as well. The curse will only be lifted if a maiden professes her undying love for the Beast before the last petal of an enchanted rose falls.

Belle, a beautiful young maiden living in the suburbs, loves reading about enchanting love stories. She refuses to marry her manly suitor, Gaston, because she believes that she deserves someone so much better. A kind-hearted Belle ended up as the Beast’s prisoner in exchange for the freedom of her sick father. After some time, the Beast has finally changed his ways for Belle and in the end Belle fell in love with him.
