The Lion King’s story takes place in the beautiful animal kingdom of Africa. Simba is a young prince cub who is very curious about everything in his surroundings. He always ended up in trouble together with Nala, his best friend. Simba’s father, King Mufasa, is the current leader of the Pride Lands but because of Scar’s jealousy of his throne, Mufasa died in a tragic stampede while saving his son.

The mind-twisted Scar made Simba believe that his father’s death was his entire fault and urged him to run away. Simba ended up in a tropical forest and made friends with the “Hakuna Matata” best friends, Timon and Pumbaa.

The Lion King is the highest grossing film of Walt Disney Pictures ever to date which was released on June 15, 1994. The film also popularized the song “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” sung by Sir Elton John and has garnered an Oscar award for Best Original Score.
