Walt Disney’s success all started with the inspiration from his pet mouse in the farm when he was little. He asked one of his animators, Ub Iwerks, to create a character out of it, hence Mickey Mouse was born. They produced two short animations for Mickey Mouse, the first one was “Plane Crazy” and “The Gallopin’ Gaucho” second, but they utterly failed to appeal to the audience. “Steamboat Willie,” the third installation of the short series, released on November 18, 1928 gave Mickey Mouse his big break and debut.

Since then, Mickey has been the face of Walt Disney Studios and has appeared in thousands of cartoons and feature films to date. Joined by his numerous friends like Minnie, Daisy and Donald, Goofy, Pluto, and a few others more, Mickey was tagged “the most famous mouse ever.” You can see Mickey Mouse in various franchise items being sold in the market, cartoons, children shows, and has been posted as the Chief Greeter in the numerous Disney Theme Parks all over the world.
