Ratatouille is the box office hit animation movie produced by Pixar and released by Walt Disney Pictures on June 29, 2007. The name of the movie actually refers to a dish created by the famous Chef Auguste Gusteau which plays a significant role in saving the latter’s famed restaurant. The name also depicts Remy’s, the movie main character, animal kind. As a rat, Remy finds himself quite different from his family. He doesn’t eat foods that are uncooked or non-gourmet type, he despises them.

Remy’s real passion is culinary and was inspired greatly by his idol, Chef Auguste Gusteau. Although warned by his father about the world of rat-hating humans, Remy was still determined to follow his dream of becoming a Chef. One day, he met the culinary-untalented Chef Gusteau’s son, Linguini and found out that he can control his every movement by pulling on Linguini’s hair strands. This started off Remy’s path to culinary success and has even opened his very own restaurant named “Ratatouille” in the end.
